Operations to propagate native plants can be small, and need to be if we are to achieve a hyper-local focus that preserves local plant genetics. Here, Leah Brooks is propagating and growing frost aster (Symphyotrichum pilosum) derived from local populations in New Castle County, Delaware, which she supplies to numerous planting projects nearby.
