This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This map may overestimate the range of this species due to both USDA and BONAP's range maps, which we used to construct ours, including populations which is now considered to belong to another species, see Notes for further explanation.
↑Notes
BONAP has merged this species into Lomatium plummerae (J.M.Coult. & Rose) J.M.Coult. & Rose. However, POWO considers Lomatium austiniae to be a proper species, and has merged Lomatium plummerae(J.M.Coult. & Rose) J.M.Coult. & Rose into Donnell's biscuitroot (Lomatium donnellii). We have adopted POWO's scheme, but our range maps were constructed with the old scheme and have not yet been updated.
