Range

This species is native to East Asia. According to POWO and BONAP, this species does not occur in North America. The USDA reports this species, under the name Veronica grandis, Fisch. ex Spreng. as occurring in the U.S. but this probably was a misidentification with heartleaf speedwell (Veronica bachofenii), a similar species that also shares a common name. North American populations belong to that species. We have retained this record as a reference.
