Arctic Sedge (Carex arctogena )

Also known as capitate sedge; also classified as Carex capitata f. arctogena (Harry Sm.) Raymond, Carex capitata subsp. arctogena (Harry Sm.) Hiitonen, Carex capitata var. arctogena (Harry Sm.) Hultén, Carex antarctogena Roiv.

Until recently this species was considered part of capitate sedge (Carex capitata) and many authorities still consider it a subspecies or variety of that species. We recognize it as separate, but treat it as the same species as Carex antarctogena, following POWO's treatment.
