This species is native to Mexico southward; we have yet to build its map.↑Uses
This species is sometimes grown as a landscaping plant far north of its native range, where it could not survive in the wild due to winter cold. It can occasionally survive in sheltered conditions but is more commonly grown as a container plant and moved indoors during cold weather, or grown indoors year-round or in greenhouses.
