Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

This species is also found in Mexico; POWO reports it as native to both Florida and Mexico; BONAP reports it as introduced in Florida. We have not yet resolved this inconsistency, nor have we built the portion of its range map in Mexico yet.
