Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is native to Mexico, but it is now also found in Texas beyond its native range; BONAP marks it as introduced, which is surprising because most plants with such pattern it marks instead as "Adventive". We mark it as Expanded rather than introduced because its new range is relatively connected to the native range except for small gaps not much larger than those existing within its native range. We have yet to build the portion of its map in Mexico.
