This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.
Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
We consider this species, which is native and common in the West, to be expanded in the east because it has expanded contiguously with its range, and is a small, weedy plant that has colonized disturbed, open habitats in the east that were created by humans. It remains uncommon and scattered in most of the East. This species is also native to Canada, and also may have expanded its range in Canada; we have yet to build this portion of its map.
↑Notes
We recommend against the use of the common name "slenderleaf collomia" because it references the scientific genus of this plant, and such names can become confusing or misleading if the plant is later reclassified into another genus.
