This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This map was difficult to build and may have some inaccuracies. BONAP marks most of the Minnesota and Wisconsin records of this species as erroneous, and FNA also notes that plants in Minnesota and North Dakota are transitional between this species and American bugseed (Corispermum americanum). FNA reports the populations around Thunder Bay, Ontario probably were introduced through grain elevators or mills. BONAP also reports the Michigan population along Lake Superior as introduced.
