Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is native to Mexico but is now found in south Texas and Florida, with isolated populations in coastal Alabama and South Carolina. We mark some of the new populations introduced because they are separated from the native range, but this was a subjective judgment call and these populations could probably be marked Expanded as well. We have not yet built the portion of its map in Mexico.
