This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

This species is native to Europe. Different sources show it introduced in various places in North America, but do not agree on where it is introduced. BONAP accepts only the British Columbia records, and this matches FSUS which does not even list this species. We found only three isolated BC records, each around a different lake there; the disagreement in various sources and isolated nature of our records led us to gray out each of these regions until we get more information about these records.
