Hispid Mock Vervain (Verbena hispida Ruiz & Pav.)

Also classified as Glandularia hispida Ruiz & Pav..

The Glandularia genus has alternately been recognized as its own genus, and classified as a subgrouping of the Verbena genus. POWO treats it as a subgrouping. However POWO does not even list the name Glandularia hispida Ruiz & Pav. anywhere in their database. However, they seem to use the name Verbena hispida Ruiz & Pav., which USDA lists as a synonym of that one, to refer to the same taxon. We have assumed them equivalent, and have not yet uncovered why POWO does not list the one name. We use POWO's naming scheme and assume it equivalent to this other name as well.
