Introduced or Not Present |
This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 4 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is reported from a single 1989 vouchered specimen in Yonkers, NY, which was only submitted recently (2017-2018) to the NY Plant Atlas. Although BONAP and POWO mark this species as introduced in New York State, we are dubious because of the age of the record and its proximity to NYC where exotic species are frequently planted in botanic gardens and landscaping. We have not seen any evidence that this species established a sustaining population, either.
↑Habitat
FNA reports this as occurring on "wool-waste areas".
