Introduced or Not Present

This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.

According to POWO this species is native as far north as northeast Mexico. It has established in the US probably through garden escapes. POWO reports populations in Illinois and Texas which BONAP does not. We mark US populations introduced because they are isolated and separated from the native populations by a large gap. We have not yet built the portion of this species' range map in Mexico.
