This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

We found conflicting reports of whether or not, and where this species occurs in North America. There is one record from 1954 in Baltimore City, but we did not find any specifics on this record, and it is not accepted by FSUS. We also found records of this plant on the slopes near two volcanoes in Mexico but again have not verified the validity of these records.
