Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
Several sources reference this species as being native to northeast Mexico near its range in Texas; we have been unable to locate any specific records of where it has been reported, however. For now we note that the portion of its range map in Mexico has yet to be completed.
