Balbis' Milkvine (Pherotrichis villosa (Schult.) Meisn.)
Also classified as Matelea balbisii (Decne.) Woodson, Matelea balbisii Woodson.
POWO lists the name Matelea balbisii Woodson whereas USDA PLANTS cites the authority as (Decne.) Woodson. We have not resolved this discrepancy but we noted no other consequences to it.

This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.
Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
According to BONAP, this species was native to Cochise county, NM but has been locally extirpated. However it is also native to southern Mexico, discontiguously with its range in Arizona, and is still found there; we have yet to build this portion of its map.
