This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 4 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

This species has only been recorded on Rock Island, near the Falls of the Ohio River near Louisville, KY. The entire original surface of this island was flooded permanently by the construction of a dam, and unfortunately, no effort was made to preserve this species first. It was last observed in 1881 and is presumed extinct.
