Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

We found inconsistent claims of where, exactly this species is native in different sources. However it is generally agreed to be native to South America and introduced in the US. It is found in Mexico, and may be native in parts of Mexico and introduced in others. We have yet to build the portion of its range map in Mexico.
