Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

This species is native to the south-central US and Mexico, but is now found in the US both east and west of its native range. We mark the eastern portions of its range Expanded because they are mostly adjacent to the native range, and follow a clear pattern of scattered records moving progressively farther from the range with no clear geographic divide blocking expasion. We mark the CA population introduced because it is isolated and separated by long distances and major geographic divides. We have yet to build the portion of the map in Mexico.
