POWO marks this species as Extirpated from Labrador, but Vascan lists it as native and still extant. The populations in Labrador are in a remote area not threatened by human activity, but difficult to access so it is difficult to verify whether or not this species is still found there. Our map reflects this uncertainty. There are active efforts to preserve and restore this area throughout its range in Canada.
