Extirpated

This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

This species is native to Western Europe; it was collected from the coast of Newfoundland in 1928, but is presumed extirpated. POWO marks it as native there, but given this species' restricted range in Europe it seems possible that that species may have been an introduction. VASCAN also marks this species as Extirpated from Quebec, but we could not find any specific records. FNA notes that Gleason & Cronquist (1991) said this species is occasionally observed in the Eastern US but no vouchers have been collected. For now our map only shows Labrador unless we can find other verifiable records.
