Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
POWO reports this species as introduced in Florida, but we defer to BONAP which considers it native. Regardless of its status in Florida, it is native to Mexico, discontiguously with its range in Florida; we have yet to build the portion of its range map in Mexico.
