This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is native to Alaska and parts of the Yukon and Northwest Territories, but it is weedy and has expanded its range by spreading along roads. It has cropped up at a few locations southeast of its native range, along the Alaska Highway, in Whitehorse, YT, Fort Nelson, BC, and another location near where the Smart River meets the highway; we mark these populations Expanded as they are relatively near the native range and the plant seems to be spreading along the highway on its own. The one report we found in the Copper Plateau was also along a road and may represent a similar expansion.
