This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

This species is endemic to the Northwest Territories and has been reported in the region to the northwest of the Great Slave Lake. Although the common name references the MacKenzie river, it is only found near the uppermost portions of this river and absent from most of its length.
