Mediterranean Rose (Rosa pulverulenta M.Bieb.)

Also known as pine-scented rose; also classified as Rosa sicula Tratt..

The different common names reflect the merger of two species into one, which were named by separate common names. We retained the common name "Mediterranean Rose" even though we use the non-corresponding scientific name Rosa pulverulenta, because that common name is in much more widespread use, even if the other scientific name has preference.
