Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species' native range extends well into Mexico, but we have yet to build this portion of the map.
↑Notes
Some authorities treat Acmella repens as its own species whereas others treat it as a variety of Acmella oppositifolia. When the taxa are lumped together, only one variety of the broader taxon is found in the US, but farther south they are not interchangeable. In South and Central America the term A. oppositifolia can also refer to Heliopsis buphthalmoides, which does not occur in the US.
