Large-Spike Bristlegrass (Setaria macrostachya Kunth)
BONAP has merged plains bristlegrass (Setaria vulpiseta) into this species, and considers it to be native in the US. POWO, however, considers them separate and reports this species as introduced in the US and Mexico.

This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.
Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
Our map is based on BONAP's but we note serious inconsistencies between different sources, see the Taxonomy notes about a merge, but we also note that POWO reports this species as introduced in the US and Mexico. Furthermore, FNA reports this species as also occurring in Georgia, but as native. We have not reconciled any of these discrepancies, nor have we built the portion of this species range map in Mexico.
