Introduced |
This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is native to Western Australia, and has been introduced in California, where it is often considered invasive.
↑Uses
This species was historically grown in gardens as an ornamental, where it was valued for its distinctive blue flowers and for being easy to grow. It quickly became regarded as weedy and is now considered invasive and is rarely planted. We recommend against growing it anywhere outside its native range because it has a high invasive potential.
