Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

POWO and several other sources report this species as not occurring anywhere in the US, only reaching to southern Mexico. We have not yet resolved the discrepancy between these sources and USDA and BONAP which report it in the southeastern US. Currently our range map is based on BONAP's.
