This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.

This species is occasionally cultivated in gardens, and has established from escapes at some sites north, west, and east of its native range. This map represents a subjective judgment call but we decided to mark these populations Introduced rather than Expanded because they are all separated from the native range by distances significantly larger than tend to exist within its native range, and we see no evidence that this species is expanding its range and/or filling in gaps between these new populations. We will update this map if this information changes.
