BONAP has merged stemless spiderwort (Tradescantia subacaulis) into this species, but we have not; this explains the absence of this species in our map from the Southern Texas Plains. Besides this there are no significant differences in range maps, as a result of this classification difference, that are visible at level 3 ecoregions.
