Scouler's Woollyweed (Hieracium scouleri Hook.)

Also classified as Hieracium cynoglossoides Arv.-Touv. (See Notes).

Houndstongue hawkweed (Hieracium cynoglossoides) was mostly merged into this species, except the more limited Hieracium cynoglossoides var. nudicaule, which was instead split off to be its own species, Hieracium nudicaule. As the range of that species is limited, and almost entirely contained within the range of this one, that split does not affect our range maps at all.
