This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

POWO reports this species as also occurring in northwest Mexico; we have yet to locate any specific records in Mexico however. Within the US this species is mostly restricted to a narrow area along the coast, and becomes less common moving southward and there are no records from San Diego southward, so if this species does occur in Mexico, it is likely not common there and is restricted to the same ecoregion it occurs in in the US.

Notes

Although we dislike the common name "Wedgeleaf Horkelia" because "Horkelia" references the scientific genus of one of this species' scientific names that not all authorities recognize, we have yet to find another common name in use.
