Carolina Lead Plant (Amorpha confusa (Wilbur) S.C.K.Straub, Sorrie & Weakley)

Also classified as Amorpha georgiana var. confusa Wilbur.

This species was originally described in 1964 as a variety of georgia false indigo (Amorpha georgiana), but in 2009 was broken off into its own species, a classification that most authorities now recognize. Some older sources still lump them together.
