New Mexican Spanish Bayonet (Yucca neomexicana )

Although this species was originally described as its own species, some authorities, including the USDA, have lumped it in with Spanish bayonet (Yucca harrimaniae), and treated it as a variety or subspecies. We treat it as separate in accordance with BONAP, POWO, and most other authorities.
