Thicket Bindweed (Fallopia dumetorum (L.) Holub)
Also known as copse bindweed.
USDA PLANTS and some other older sources treat this as a variety of climbing false buckwheat (Fallopia scandens), under the name Polygonum scandens var. dumetorum. We follow POWO's treatment, which is used by most other authorities including BONAP, which has moved both of these taxa into the Fallopia genus, and separated this taxon as its own species.

This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.
Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is also introduced in Canada; we have yet to build this portion of its map.
