This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 4 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
BONAP reports this species as introduced in Marengo County, AL; FSUS however reports this record as a waif, which we find more accurate. The Alabama Herbarium Consortium shows a single record from 2010 in the town of Demopolis and we have not seen any verification that it persisted. There may, however, be other unreported populations of this species in the wild. We saw some records on iNaturalist that could perhaps be sustaining wild populations and have not yet reviewed them.
