This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is only reported established in a small area around UNC Chapel Hill; although FSUS marks it as a waif, they note it had escaped cultivation as early as 1939, and there are relatively recent records, so this one population seems to have persisted.
