This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
Although the parent species of this hybrid have a large area of range overlap, we only found a single record of this hybrid, from Quebec, southeast of the Hudson Bay. Given that this species was only described in 19599, its parents are visually-similar, the remoteness of the one area where it has been recorded, and the general difficulties in sedge identification, it is likely that this hybrid also occurs elsewhere but is under-reported.
