Chaparral Bird's-Foot Trefoil (Acmispon grandiflorus (Benth.) Brouillet)
Also classified as Lotus grandiflorus (Benth.) Greene.
POWO reports a larger range for this species, extending into Oregon and Washington, than that reported by USDA and BONAP. This might reflect them having merged other taxa into this species, that the other authorities consider separate. For now we have retained BONAP's treatment, but moving this plant to the Acmispon genus, which both BONAP and POWO agree on.

This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.
Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
According to POWO this species is also found in northwest Mexico, but we have not yet built this portion of its range map.
