Wholeleaf Saxifrage (Micranthes integrifolia (Hook.) Small)

Also classified as Saxifraga integrifolia Hook.

BONAP reports a very different range for this taxon than USDA does, marking many USDA reports as false or unverified; this may reflect BONAP considering six of seven named varieties of Saxifraga integrifolia to properly belong to four different Micranthes species: M. apetala, M. fragosa, M. nidifica, and M. rhomboidea. We have not examined these reclassifications in depth, instead choosing to simply go with BONAP's scheme as it tends to be more accurate and up-to-date than the USDA when the two sources disagree.

This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.

Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

This species is also native to BC, Canada, but we have yet to build this portion of its range map.
