Sweetflower Rockjasmine (Androsace chamaejasme Wulfen)

The taxon that POWO uses this name to refer to is restricted to the Old World; we suspect that this may reflect a split in which the North American populations have been put into their own species, referred to by a name with a newer type specimen, but we do not know what name POWO now uses to refer to this population, nor do they provide any tools to help us easily discern this. We have not yet examined this split so for now we retain the scheme used by USDA and BONAP which treats this species as native to North America.
