Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species has been introduced on other continents and seems to have invasive potential. In the US it has expanded eastward along the gulf coast; we mark it expanded because the new range is only separated from the native range by relatively short distances.
