This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species is native to Mexico, but has been introduced in Texas; we mark these populations introduced, not expanded, because they are discontiguous with the native range and separated by a large area over which this species does not occur. This separation is not evident from our L3 ecoregion map because this species only occurs in the southernmost portions of the Chihuahuan Deserts (and Southern Texas Plains, if it occurs there.)
