In the Central Basin and Range, this species only occurs in the far southwestern corner of this region. As the borders in this area are subjective and do not correspond to well-defined geographic boundaries, the marking of this species as native to that ecoregion, while technically true, is an artifact of how our regions are drawn. This species is absent from the overwhelming majority of that region.
