This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
This species does not extend as far north or as far into the interior of Alaska as the map suggests; it mostly occurs near the coast, and in many of these regions is limited to a few coastal areas, often at the deltas of various rivers. Its presence in interior areas usually reflects larger rivers that extend fairly deep into some of these regions.
