Muhlenberg's Centaury (Zeltnera muehlenbergii (Griseb.) G.Mans.)

Also known as Monterey centaury; also classified as Centaurium muehlenbergii (Griseb.) W. Wight ex Piper.

BONAP has merged davy's centaury (Zeltnera davyi) into this species but we consider it separate per POWO and Calflora's treatment.

This map is based on our research. We have checked its accuracy to Level 3 ecoregions. Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

This species has been locally extirpated in much of the north of its range, including, to our knowledge, everywhere within the state of Washington. It is still found in a few places at the southernmost end of Vancouver Island, however, where it is rare.
