Expanded or Not Present |
This tentative map is based on our own research. It may have limited data on Canada and/or Mexico, and there is some subjectivity in our assignment of plants as introduced vs. expanded. Read more in this blog post.
Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.
USDA and POWO report this species is native to Arizona, but BONAP and SEINet report it as introduced. We have marked it as expanded because it is native to the tropical Americas and its introduced range seems to be at least somewhat contiguous with its native range, but our information on this point is incomplete so we may revise this. POWO reports this species is native to much of Mexico but we have yet to research exactly where its native range limits lie, and yet to build any portion of its range map in Mexico.
