Although this plant occurs somewhere in each of these regions, it may only occur in a small part of some or all of them.

This species is reported as native to New York State, but the 1997 Revised Checklist of New York State Plants reported it as extirpated there. We have not yet verified exactly where it was native there, so our present map is incomplete as it does not list its extirpated range.
